Robert S. Kipness

Robert Kipness utilizes his extensive background in the retail and shopping center industry to offer legal representation to retailers and landlords. He is experienced in a wide variety of real estate transactional work, including the leasing, the sale and financing of property. Mr. Kipness works with nationally recognized retailers and landlords to complete deals in various types of retail venues, including super-regional shopping malls, specialty centers, life-style centers, strip centers and downtown locations.

Robert Kipness has over eighteen years of experience in commercial real estate. During his career, Mr. Kipness has been employed as both a lawyer and a leasing representative. As an attorney at the Wall Street firm of Gould & Wilkie LLP, Mr. Kipness represented many well-known national retailers, as well as shopping mall and office-building landlords. At Gould and Wilkie, he concentrated on the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of real estate throughout the United States.

In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Kipness was employed as a senior leasing executive for some of the most prominent real estate developers in the country, including Corporate Property Investors (CPI and Simon Property Group (formerly Simon Debartolo). He has also worked as a real estate broker in New York City. His experience has given him a unique edge, not only because of his established contacts in the industry, but because of his insight and knowledge as to what each party in a real estate transaction is looking for and willing to give.
